11/10/06 REDRUM MUSIC & WARNER MUSIC RELEASES THE DEBUT ALBUM OF ITS NEWEST JACK-OF-ALL TRADES: JACOB Quite often, a musician’s personality isn’t quite the exact reflection of his music: take the case of musician/songwriter/keyboardist Jacob, Redrum Music and Warner Music’s newest artist who, despite his quiet and timid persona, can disarm the most hardened music lovers with his brand of pop/rock-flavored ditties on his debut disc Naghihintay. Fueled by the dreamy and melancholic pop-rock ditty “Naghihintay,” which was recently released last May 2nd, the rest of Jacob’s material- which he all wrote by himself during his formative years as a struggling musician (being part of a duo monikered Letters For Veronica, an outfit that enjoyed a modest amount of success on radio…) can be characterized by his ability to translate personal, bittersweet experiences and combine it with the uptempo beat and swagger of catchy power pop choruses.
